Frequently Asked Questions
Is this actually safer than a real candle in my bedroom?
Yes — there's no open flame, no hot wax, no smoke, and no soot. The Mubarek Lying Cat Lamp uses an LED that stays cool to the touch, so you can run it on your nightstand, near curtains, or in a child's room with zero fire risk.
Can I leave it on all night without it overheating?
The LED technology runs cool continuously, so there's no overheating risk even after 10 hours of use. Unlike a candle or incandescent bulb, it will not ignite nearby fabrics, bedding, or papers.
Is it safe to use around my pets?
Yes — cats and dogs cannot knock it over into a flame because there is no flame, and the soft silicone body won't injure paws or teeth if they bump it. Many pet owners prefer it over candles specifically for this reason.
Does it have an automatic shutoff timer for peace of mind?
The rechargeable 1200mAh battery naturally powers down after up to 10 hours, so you don't have to remember to turn it off. The included remote also lets you set a sleep timer without getting up.
What happens if it falls off the nightstand — is there a fire risk?
There is no fire risk because the lamp uses flameless LED technology. The soft silicone body is also shock-absorbent, so most falls won't cause damage to the unit itself.
How does this compare to a wax melt warmer or oil diffuser with a tea light?
A tea-light warmer still uses an open flame that can ignite spilled oil or nearby decor. The Mubarek Lying Cat Lamp removes the fire source entirely while still providing ambient lighting, making it the safer choice for bedrooms, nurseries, and dorms.
Is the silicone body safe if it gets warm or starts degrading over time?
The BPA-free silicone is rated for long-term use and does not off-gas, melt, or degrade under normal LED operating temperatures. It's the same medical-grade material used in many baby products.
Can I use it in a small enclosed space like a closet or bathroom without worry?
Yes — there's no flame and no combustion, so it's safe in enclosed spaces where a candle would consume oxygen or pose a fire hazard. The cordless rechargeable design also means no exposed electrical connections near water.
Does the rechargeable battery pose any safety risk if it's left plugged in too long?
The Type-C charging system is designed with standard overcharge protection, so you can leave it plugged in overnight without degrading the battery. Mubarek also backs it with a 3-year warranty for added peace of mind.
What if I have asthma or am sensitive to air quality — is this better than scented candles?
Yes — the lamp produces no smoke, no fragrance, and no VOCs, so it won't trigger respiratory sensitivity the way scented candles can. You get all the visual ambiance of candlelight with completely clean air.
How do I turn the lamp on and change colors?
Tap the silicone body once to power on, and tap again to cycle through the 16 color modes. You can also use the included remote control to switch colors, adjust the 5 brightness levels, or activate the color-breathe mode from across the room.
How long does the battery last, and how do I charge it?
The built-in 1200mAh rechargeable battery delivers up to 10 hours of use per charge depending on brightness level. To recharge, simply plug the included Type-C cable into any standard USB power source — a full charge takes about 2 to 3 hours.
How do I clean the silicone surface without damaging it?
Wipe the lamp with a soft dry or slightly damp cloth. For tougher spots, a small amount of mild soap works well. Avoid harsh chemical cleaners or abrasive sponges, as they can dull the matte silicone finish over time.
Does it work with any USB charger or only the one included?
The Type-C port is universal, so it works with any standard USB-C cable and most phone chargers, power banks, or laptop USB ports. You don't need a special adapter — anything that outputs 5V will charge it safely.
Can I leave it plugged in overnight while it's on?
Yes, the charging circuit is designed for safe continuous connection, so you can run the lamp while plugged in without damaging the battery. Many users keep it on the nightstand permanently connected for hassle-free use.
What's included in the box when I order it?
Inside the package you'll find the Mubarek Lying Cat Lamp, a Type-C charging cable, a remote control, and a user guide. The remote requires a small button-cell battery, which is usually included or easily replaceable.
Is the lamp durable enough for daily use by kids or in high-traffic areas?
The BPA-free silicone body is soft, squishy, and built to withstand regular handling, drops, and squeezes. Mubarek backs the product with a 3-year after-sales service warranty, so any manufacturing defects are fully covered.
Does the lamp make any noise, buzzing, or humming sounds?
No — the LED light source runs completely silent. There is no fan, no buzzing coil, and no audible hum, making it ideal for bedrooms, nurseries, and study spaces where quiet is essential.
What's the difference between this silicone cat lamp and a regular LED night light?
A standard LED night light is single-color, fixed-brightness, and usually plugs into an outlet. The Mubarek Lying Cat Lamp is rechargeable, portable, dimmable across 5 levels, offers 16 colors with remote control, and doubles as a squishy fidget and decor piece — three functions in one.
